The Church of San Bernardino, located in the heart of the historic center of Verona, is an extraordinary example of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, with a rich and complex history dating back to the 15th century. The church and the attached convent were founded in 1452, just two years after the canonization of San Bernardino da Siena, on the initiative of San Giovanni da Capestrano, a friend and companion of the Sienese saint.
